Boost the bass of a song
A low shelf around 120 Hz adds the amount you set, from 0 to +12 dB. It is a tone control, not a volume boost for the whole file.

What is a bass booster?
A bass booster raises the low frequencies of a recording so it sounds fuller. This one applies a bass shelf around 120 Hz that lifts the low end by 0 to 12 dB. A 2 kHz tone stays as it is. If a peak would pass full scale, the whole file is turned down. It runs in your browser, so the file is never uploaded. It cannot add bass that the recording never captured.
What is a bass booster?
A bass booster raises the low frequencies of a song so it sounds fuller. This one adds a low shelf filter at about 120 Hz, and you set the amount from 0 to plus 12 dB, starting at plus 6 dB. It is a tone control and not a volume boost for the whole file. If a peak would pass full scale, the whole file is turned down so the shape stays clean. A very strong boost can still make the bass feel heavy, so lower the slider if that happens. It works best on a song or a beat. If a recording has no low end, the slider cannot create bass that was never captured. The effect also touches the low part of a voice a little. It runs in your browser, so the file is not uploaded, and you can save a 16-bit WAV or an MP3. It is free, with no account and no watermark.
How to use it
- Open music A song or a beat, not a voice memo.
- Set the shelf Start at +6 dB and listen.
- Save Choose WAV for a full-quality file, or MP3 when you need a smaller one. Nothing is uploaded.
A shelf, not magic
If the recording has no low end, the slider cannot invent bass that was never captured.
FAQ
Will this distort the song?
It can. A very strong boost can make the bass feel heavy. The shelf does not change a 2 kHz tone. Start at plus 6 dB and listen. If it growls, lower the slider. The shelf runs from 0 to plus 12 dB. Songs that already have strong bass need less than quiet ones.
Does it change vocals?
A little. The tool is a low shelf at about 120 Hz, and it also lifts the low part of a human voice, so vocals can sound slightly fuller or boomier. It does not target instruments separately or split vocals from the music. If the voice starts to sound heavy, lower the boost.
Can I combine it with volume?
Yes. Boost the bass here first, then save the file and open Volume Booster if the whole file is still quiet. A bass boost is a tone control and not a level boost. Doing the bass first leaves you room to lift the level afterward without cracking the peaks.
